파이어폭스 Firefox 기사 내용 깔끔하게 볼 수 있는 광고차단 프로그램 AdBlock

이전에 크롬의 확장 프로그램을 소개하면서 언급한 적이 있는 AdBlock 프로그램입니다. 인터넷 기사를 따라가다 보면 스포츠 연계기사를 다루는 사이트를 접속하게 됩니다. 아래 그림에서 많은 광고로 인해 글을 제대로 읽지 못할 정도 입니다. 이렇게 난잡한 광고 배치로 기사를 읽기 힘든 사이트에 필요한 확장 프로그램이 있습니다. 완벽하게 차단하는 것은 아니지만 훨씬 보기 편하게 바꿀 수 있습니다.

▼ 아래 그림처럼 어떤 사이트로 가면 기사를 아예 가려 버리는 경우가 있습니다. 이런 광고들을 안보이게 처리하는 확장 프로그램 입니다. 

▼AdBlock 확장 프로그램을 설치하기 위해 오른쪽 상단에 있는 목록 아이콘을 클릭합니다. 그럼 [부가 기능]메뉴가 나타납니다.

▼[부가 기능] 메뉴를 클릭해서 확장 프로그램 설치란으로 갑니다. 검색창에 adblock 라고 입력하시면 아래 그림처럼 [Adblock Plus]라는 확장 프로그램이 나타납니다. 오른쪽 끝에 [설치하기]버튼을 눌러 주세요.

▼ 설치가 끝나면 확장 프로그램 목록에 Adblock 아이콘이 나타나게 됩니다. 마우스를 가져가시면 현재 페이지에서 차단한 광고 목록과 적용된 주요 필터들을 보여줍니다. 제대로 반영하기 위해서는 파이어폭스를 재시작 하셔야 합니다.

▼ 파이어폭스를 재시작하고 동일한 페이지로 접속하시면 아래 그림처럼 차단된 광고들을 보실수 있습니다. 그런데 왼쪽에 자그마한 레이어 광고가 없어지지 않았습니다. 이처럼 완벽하게 차단하는 것은 아닙니다. 하지만 처음 보다는 훨씬 보기 편해졌죠.

▼ 만약 애드블록을 통한 광고 차단 기능이 웹 페이지에 여러가지 문제를 일으키는 경우 사용을 중지하거나 해당 사이트만 제한을 풀 수 있습니다. 광고가 아닌데도 불구하고 제한 되는 경우가 있거든요. 이 때 확장 프로그램 아이콘을 클릭해서 하위 메뉴의 [사이트 허용]과 [사용중지]를 이용하시면 됩니다.
