벤큐 모니터 Show [벤큐] 모니터 드라이버, 반드시 설치해야하는건가요?오늘의 포스팅!!! 모니터 드라이버, 꼭 설치해야할까요? 이 질문은 많은 분들이 물어보시는 내용이기도 합니다. 궁금증을 벤큐와 함께 풀어보도록 할까요? :) 저는 Dos세대입니다. 지금이야 대부분의 PC 운영체제가 윈도우즈, 그리고 맥 OS와 일부 리눅스를 사용하지만 제가 어린 시절만 하더라도 MS-Dos를 사용하는 사람이 대부분이었으니까요. 윈도우와 비교할때 도스는 매우 불편하기 짝이 없었죠. 마우스는 게임을 할 때에나 사용하는 물건이었고 <COPY A: C: /a> <DEL *.*> <CD Game> 형태의 복잡스러운 명령어를 직접 타이핑해야만 했으니까요. (그 와중에 우리의 도스 생활을 편리하게 해주었던 희대의 물건, MDIR을 기억하는 당신은 아재!!!) 이렇게 복잡한 방법으로 컴퓨터를 다루다보니 혹시라도 사운드카드나 모뎀, 그래픽카드 등의 부가장치를 장착했을 때에 이를 인식시켜주는 드라이버의 설치 과정도 꽤나 복잡했습니다. 지금이야 인터넷에서 최신버전의 드라이버를 쉽게 다운받을 수 있지만 그때는 제품에 함께 제공되던 플로피디스크가 손상되거나 분실했을 때의 그 절망감이란.. 시간이 흘러 운영체제는 윈도우를 사용하게 되었지만 윈도우 95, 98, XP 등의 버전을 사용하는 PC에서도 외부장치를 연결했을 때에는 반드시 드라이버를 설치해주어야만 했습니다. 그러던 것이 윈도우 흑역사.. VISTA를 거쳐 윈도우 7 이후의 버전부터는 놀라운 일이 생겼으니 무려 자동으로 드라이버를 감지해준다는 것!!!! 운영체제에 꽤나 많은 드라이버가 내장이 되어있어 설치시 Plug and Play 방식으로 자동 인식을 해준다는 놀라운 일이 벌어지게 된 것이죠. 해리포터가 눈 앞에서 그리핀도르를 외치는 정도의 놀라움.. 바로 여기서!! 모니터 드라이버를 꼭 설치해야하는지 그에 대한 대답을 들을 수 있습니다. 네, 맞습니다. 드라이버를 꼭 설치해야 하는 것은 아닙니다. 현재의 윈도우 운영체제 상에서는 대부분의 장치가 Plug and Play를 지원하므로 랜카드나 그래픽카드, 기타 몇몇의 특수장치를 제외하면 마우스나 모니터, 일반적인 USB장치 등은 자동으로 장치를 인식하니까요. 물론 일부 장치의 경우에는 특수한 기능을 사용하기 위해 별도로 드라이버가 제공되어 이를 설치해야하지만요. 벤큐 모니터의 경우에도 모니터 드라이버를 반드시 설치해야하는 것은 아닙니다. 모니터 드라이버 설치 여부와 관계없이 성능상의 차이가 발생하지는 않으니까요. :P 유일한 차이라면 경우에 따라 장치관리자 등의 메뉴에서 사용중인 모니터의 모델명이 표기되지 않고 <플러그앤플레이 모니터> 형태가 나타나기도 합니다. 만약 위 사진처럼 모델명이 표기기를 원하신다면 제품 구매시 동봉된 CD 또는 벤큐코리아 홈페이지의 지원 - 다운로드 센터에서 모니터 드라이버를 다운로드하여 설치하시면 정상적으로 모델명이 표기됩니다. 아래의 링크를 클릭하시면 벤큐 모니터 드라이버를 다운받으실 수 있어요.  물론 모델명의 표기와는 별개로 모니터의 성능 차이가 기능 상 제한이 발생하는 등의 경우는 없다는 점을 알려드려요! :D ResolutionReference the information that is provided in this article for guidance on installing display drivers in Windows 10. Display Drivers in Windows 10In previous versions of Windows, select Dell displays had a specific driver for the display in addition to the graphics adapter (Video Card) driver. In Windows 7, 8, and 10 you will only see reference to "Generic PnP Monitor" under monitor tab and under device manager unless you load the display or monitor drivers. Display Driver not required in Windows 10Unlike the graphics card driver, which requires a specific driver for full functionality, usually a dedicated Display Driver is not required. For Dell plug and play monitors, a dedicated Windows 10 driver for the display that is connected to the system is not needed. The Windows 10 operating system will automatically read the monitor Extended display identification data (EDID). If your monitor calibration software or other software needs a specific monitor INF file, you may install the monitor Windows 8/8.1 driver into Windows 10. Does the Windows 10 Device Manager show that the monitor is connected by displaying it as, "Generic PNP
Monitor"? (Yes/No) If yes to the above, then the computer has correctly read the monitor EDID and a dedicated Windows 10 driver in not required for normal operation. The following displays do have WHQL certified display drivers for Windows 10 available on the Dell Support/Drivers and Downloads In the Browse for a product box, click View Products, Select Monitors and Projectors, then Select Monitors, then select your display model.
